A Florida wildlife removal crew found a female invasive python curled around a large clutch of eggs in dense ferns, according to a video documented by wildlife creator thesnakeaholic.
The snake and the entire clutch were removed together. Taking eggs out of the environment prevents hatchlings from entering Florida habitats, where Burmese pythons can prey on and compete with native wildlife.
The report did not identify the location of this nest or provide an egg count. It follows other reported Everglades removals involving clutches of 60 eggs and 431 eggs.
