Sober and sober-curious cruisers, take note: Royal Caribbean has quietly built one of the most impressive non-alcoholic drink menus at sea. What started as a deliberate design choice for the line's Icon Class ships has expanded fleetwide, growing from roughly 15–20 mocktails to more than 50 zero-proof options across the fleet.

Royal Caribbean Senior Director of Beverage Operations Ed Eiswirth explained that the Icon Class was the first to develop dedicated mocktails for each individual bar — and the results have since rolled out across the entire fleet. The approach is notably different from simply stripping alcohol out of existing cocktails. As Eiswirth put it, the team curated these drinks as standalone beverages, focusing on flavor combinations that work on their own terms. Standout options spotted on Utopia of the Seas include the Peach Perfect (made with Seedlip Grove 42 non-alcoholic spirit, peach, lemon, and pineapple juice), the Blueberry Nojito, and the All Aboard Spritz at the Trellis Bar in Central Park.

Beyond mocktails, the fleet carries a selection of non-alcoholic wines and 0.0 beers, including Heineken 0.0, Blue Moon Non-Alcoholic Belgian White, Natureo Syrah, and Ariel Chardonnay. Guests who don't drink can also opt into the Royal Refreshment Package as an alternative to the standard alcoholic beverage bundle.

The shift reflects broader industry trends. A 2025 Gallup Consumption Habits poll found that U.S. adults are drinking less alcohol than at any point in the past 90 years, and Eiswirth noted that younger cruisers in particular are leaning into mocktails. Carnival Cruise Line has introduced a drink package aimed at non-drinkers, and Princess Cruises recently launched its POURS collection, which includes wellness-forward beverages incorporating adaptogens and botanicals alongside zero-proof cocktails like the Serene Bloom and Passion Fruit Margarita.
