If you're heading to EPCOT during the 2026 Food & Wine Festival, the Germany Pavilion looks a little different than usual. What began as a bathroom renovation has expanded into a broader construction effort touching several parts of the pavilion.
The pavilion's bathrooms have been closed for some time, but the work has now spread to additional areas. The roof of Das Kaufhaus is currently being replaced, and the exterior of Stein Haus is covered in scrim and construction screening — though the shop itself remains open for business. According to a Cast Member on-site, work on the backstage bathrooms is also affecting the interior of Volkskunst, the shop known for its German cuckoo clocks. Currently, only the section near the exit featuring Christmas décor is accessible, and tables and chairs have been placed outside the entrance.
Shoppers planning to browse for souvenirs in the Germany Pavilion should keep these limitations in mind before making the trek over. The construction footprint means some areas that are typically open won't be available during this period.
On a brighter note, Tiny Train Town — a perennial fan favorite in the Germany Pavilion — is fully decked out for the festival season. The miniature display has been updated with Food & Wine Festival-themed banners, and by all accounts, the festive touches have been elevated compared to previous years.
